Meet The Founders

Mark

Mark grew up in Yakima, Washington, or as the welcome sign says, “The Palm Springs of Washington” where he spent his childhood camping and building go-karts with his dad. He attended University of Utah studying business and during his senior year, Mark launched Copa Bar Service, a side project nodding to his love of cocktails. It quickly grew into a full time job allowing him to quit his day job just 4 months later.

He loves his company, which has blossomed into a top bar service in Utah, carrying out over 350 events a year, building a strong reputation of professionalism and yummy cocktails. Copa proudly supports various organizations like Equality Utah, The INN Between hospice for the homeless, Assistance League, and Prevent Child Abuse Utah. He also serves on the Utah board of Weddings International Professionals Association.

In his free time, Mark enjoys sippin’ on Palomas on the beach, lake days at Powell, RV camping, word games, participating in a pickleball league, and binging shows with his husband, Brad.

Brad

Brad Christensen has been in the event space for a number of years while his husband, Mark, launched and grew his own company, Copa Bar Service. Anyone who knows Brad will tell you that he is the most helpful and level headed one of the bunch. During the week, he operates as the Chief People Officer for a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility. He is excited to bring his HR and operations expertise to Indigo Event Rentals.

In his free time, Brad loves to work in the yard, planting hard-to-pronounce plants, read novels, and travel to warm places with his husband, Mark.

Jeff

Jeff Stirland began his career in events as a DJ and with his company, Peak Sound Utah, Jeff pioneered vibe-enhancing features like cold sparks, CO2 guns, and stunning custom DJ booths. Peak Sound quickly became known for packed dance floors and epic effects which secured him clients like Bugatti, Red Bull, and influencers with millions of followers.

He is THRILLED to be a part of Indigo Event Rentals and to bring items the Utah events industry has never seen before! In his free time, Jeff can be found boating in Powell, snorkeling in Bali, and galavanting through caves in New Zealand. At home, he enjoys staying active on the bike trails with his husband, Dylan, and his dog Buck.

Dylan

Dylan Skiby, along with three others, co-founded Indigo Event Rentals with a shared passion for helping people create unforgettable events. Whether it’s a wedding, a community gathering, or a private celebration, Dylan is dedicated to ensuring that every detail is perfect, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.

With experience in the event industry, from bartending to wedding DJing, Dylan has developed a keen understanding of what makes an event truly special. However, what excites him the most is working closely with clients to bring their unique visions to life. He believes that every event should reflect the people it celebrates, and he is committed to making each one distinct and personal.

Outside of Indigo Event Rentals, Dylan teaches high school culinary arts, baking, pastries, and nutrition. Along with his students, they host events for hundreds of community members through their program. Dylan loves nature, whether he’s planting wildflowers, snowboarding, mountain biking, or exploring new countries with his husband, Jeff. These experiences fuel his creativity and attention to detail, which he brings to every event he helps plan. He couldn’t be more excited to share what Indigo Event Rentals has to offer!
